A world-class multi-faceted equine facility within an hour’s drive of the Cape’s leading racehorse training yards, the scenic Ridgemont Highlands Wellington lies on the wheat, canola, vineyard and fynbos belt which accompany the majestic Berg River on its journey from its birthplace in the Franschoek Mountains.

It’s been labelled a horsey heaven and a serene home to past and future champions, the magnificent 60 hectare property, 40 hectares of which are under fully automated irrigated pasture, caters for a wide spectrum of equine service needs, including pre-training and spelling facilities.

The international standard facility includes large spacious stabling and fully irrigated safe pole paddocks of varying sizes, to suit every need.

An indoor lunging ring and horse walker, together with sand rings, are complemented by an 800m railed sand training track with an uphill gradient.

Our range of services includes the resting, spelling and pre -training of racehorses and young horses, as well as providing a recuperative and therapeutic environment for horses recovering from injury.

A controlled storage facility, which houses our own bales and feed, is located on the farm. With close access for related professionals, regular transport from local training stables on a weekly basis means that turnaround times are not subject to any unnecessary delays.
